The partners of the CALL4FOREST – Forestry Instructor meet in Pamiers.
On September 3rd, the second meeting of the Call4Forest project, co-funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ programme, took place at the Etablissement Public Local d’Enseignement et de Formation Professionnelle Agricole de Pamiers. The meeting was the perfect occasion for the partners to meet and to have the opportunity of start working and planning the calendar of the next semester.
Call4Forest PROJECT
The project started on January 2024 and will last 2 years. It includes institutions from France and Spain. Applicant organisation is the Etablissement Public Local d’Enseignement et de Formation Professionnelle Agricole de Pamiers, other organisations involved are CTFC and Federación EFA Galicia.
Total budget is 60.000,00€ for the development of activities.
The project contributes to the following priorities of the Erasmus+ Programme:
Horizontal: Inclusion and diversity in all fields of education, training, youth and sport.
VET: Adapting vocational education and training to labour market needs.
VET: Increasing the flexibility of opportunities in vocational education and training.
As French and Spanish Forestry VET Centres are experiencing difficulties in recruiting trainers with adequate technical and pedagogical experience and proficiencies, the main purpose of the project is to:
1. Foster the recruitment of key-skilled trainers in Forestry VET Centers.
2. Improve the quality of VET curricula and courses to better prepare forestry workers to labour market needs, inclusion and diversity concerns, and growing environmental challenges.
The Target groups and stakeholders of this project are VET centres, VET teachers and future trainers, academic authorities, and professional associations.
